In a stunning display of talent, 353 ballerinas gathered at New York’s Plaza Hotel to set a new world record for dancing on pointe in one place. Organized by Youth America Grand Prix, the event celebrated the program’s 25th anniversary with dancers aged 9 to 19 competing for scholarships. Tchaikovsky music played as the ballerinas gracefully performed bourrée, shifting weight from one foot to the other for a minute. An official from Guinness World Records confirmed the achievement, surpassing the previous record of 306 ballerinas on pointe.
